March 2024: News letter 3月のニュースレター

シーズンキックオフ！３月はセントパトリックスデーもあり、盛沢山の月となりました。5月のスポーツデイももうすぐ。Japan GAA恒例の一大イベントに向けて、練習していきましょう！

The time of the year again! We did so much this year already especially in March. We are approaching one of the biggest events in May, “Sports Day.” Don’t miss it!

エメラルドボール @目黒雅叙園 3月16日 / Emerald Ball 16th March @Meguro Gajoen 16th March

セントパトリックスデーを祝って、今年もエメラルドボールに参加してきました。Japan GAAからは10名が出席！リバーダンスのパフォーマンスもあり大いに盛り上がりギネス片手にダンスやアイルランド音楽、美味しいご飯を堪能しました！
It’s honored to be at Emerald Ball every year, it’s been more than 10 years ever since. The big bonus was there was river dance in the house performing great Irish dance! it is great to see all the energy were back. We hold a table as Japan GAA and had Cracking time.

セントパトリックスデーパレード @原宿 3月17日 / St. Patrick’s Day Parade @Harajuku 16th March

総勢1000人を超える参加者で、表参道が緑に染まりました！沿道にはGAAユニフォームを着た方々もちらほら！パレード後は代々木公園でのグリーンアイルランドフェスティバルで乾杯！
St. Patrick’s celebration continues! More than 1000 Ireland lovers were in Harajuku marching. The street was nothing but Greens and full of happiness. Green Ireland Festival in Yoyogi was massive fun!

マイナー競技認知度爆上祭 @日本薬科大学 3月23日 / Minor Sports Bakuage Festival @Nihon Pharmaceutical University 23rd March

埼玉薬科大学で開催された爆上げ際、沢山のマイナースポーが終結するこの機会に、ゲーリックフットボールを紹介して参りました。いろんな方に体験に来ていただき、ミニゲームやドリルを楽しんでいただきました。

This is one of the great opportunities to spread Gaelic football to the world thru this event where all the minor sports get together. Each sports have own booth and you can try any sports you want on that day. We had good amount of guests and played mini games and practice small skills.

Japan GAAとして2度目の参加。ブースを出して、ゲーリックフットボールの紹介や、ビールの販売をしました^_^ 天気も良くメンバーの家族も参加したりと、和やかなひと時となりました！助っ人に来てくれたメンバーや家族の皆様ありがとうございました！
Second time for us to attend St. Patrick’s festival in Chiba Prefecture. Many members of Japan GAA’s help, Our booth was full of Craic selling beer, chatting with random people. Thanks for those who came to help the Japan GAA booth!
